Meredith Black enters her sixth season and seventh year at Marquette in 2017-2018. She was named the first head coach in Marquette women's lacrosse history on Feb. 4, 2011.
Black took over the Marquette women's lacrosse program prior to the 2012 season, after which time she oversaw its transformation into an NCAA Division I varsity team before leading it into its first season in 2013. The Golden Eagles most recently finished their best season yet in 2016. Marquette ended the 2016 season tied for 3rd place in the Big East after having their first winning season in conference games.
Caitlin Fifield enters her third season as an assistant coach with Marquette in 2017-2018.
“We are so excited to have Caitlin join our staff,” head coach Meredith Black said. ”Her experience, energy and unique perspective will help us take Marquette lacrosse to another level. She has a lot of great recruiting experience and possesses the knowledge and leadership to take over the offense. What she did at Wagner in just two short years was very impressive. Her will and determination to succeed make her the perfect fit at Marquette.”
Biz enters her first season as an assistant coach in the 2017-2018 season.
“We’re so excited to have her back,” Black said of Goslee. “Her knowledge of the defense lets her to see things before they happen and that will help us to make quick adjustments, but it’s her intensity level alone that is going to push our defense to new heights. “Biz has a natural coaching voice on the field and the transition for her from player to coach will be seamless,” Black added. “She is obviously familiar with our program and understands where we want to be. She’s a perfect fit for our program and I can’t wait for us to get started.”
Jacqueline Borzillo enters her second season in 2017-2018 as director of operations for the Marquette women's lacrosse team under the direction of head coach Meredith Black.
Borzillo was hired on Sept. 26, 2016, returning to the Golden Eagles after wrapping up her playing career in 2016 and graduating with a degree in marketing.
“We’re excited to bring Jackie back to the women’s lacrosse program,” Marquette head coach Meredith Black said. “She was such an important part of our program from the very beginning and to have her back as our director of ops will continue to make us better all the way around. We feel her addition really completes our staff and will allow us to take that next step as a program.”
